An Indoor/Outdoor compact Charcoal BBQ for your Kitchen Gas stove top or
Outdoor Gas BBQ.
Clever design allows your gas flame to light natural lump charcoal in
this BBQ Grill in minutes.
Step 1 – use natural lump wood charcoal (no additives or man made
material blended in due to artificial odours when lighting) and fill the
provided charcoal tray half way. Some heavier charcoal wood may take
longer to light – check with you charcoal supplier on type of charcoal
to use.
Step 2 – turn on your kitchen ventilation fan above your stove and
place the BBQ on the gas burner as you would when using
a pot or pan. Make sure the burner flames are directly
under and in contact with the base of the charcoal tray which needs to
be heated.
Step 3 – wait 3 to 5 minutes for some of the charcoal to glow with heat.
Turn off the gas and let the charcoal burn until two thirds has started
to glow. Note fanning or blowing just spreads ash and dust over your
kitchen, avoid trying to speed up the charcoal ignition process. We also
do not recommend leaving the gas burners on once charcoal has been lit
or during cooking.
Step 4 – You can leave the BBQ on the stove and grill under the kitchen
ventilation hood with extraction fan set to high. Alternativelly you can
place the BBQ on its included stand BUT do not use indoors unless you
have ventilation! If on stand, you can slide an oven tray below to
collect any falling ash, dust or juices collected in the charcoal tray
above.
Step 5 – Use the included grill which catches most of the fats and
grease during grilling. Note to take precautions when moving the grill
as oils may have accuimitated inside.
Step 6 – you can place the BBQ under a running tap to cool
down or pour water using a jug to extingish the charcoal. Charcoal can
be dried off and reused later. Always take precautions when handling hot
metal and never place the hot BBQ in direct contact with benches or
kitchen sink as it will discolour or burn the surface.
